Technical Support Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Document Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and project documents, including architectural/structural drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Project Data Integration: Serve as the primary link between Sales and Design by accurately capturing and inputting all project parameters into the Project Information Form (PIF) within the company system. This ensures 100% data integrity for Design Engineers, minimizing design cycles and technical errors.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to develop optimized structural solutions that ensure a cost-competitive commercial offer
- Request for Information (RFI) Management: Prepare and manage RFIs to clarify technical issues or ambiguities, ensuring the proposal meets customer requirements and following up on all clarifications with clients or consultants.
- Technical-Commercial Proposal Support: Assist the Sales Engineer in developing comprehensive technical-commercial proposals and preparing documents for tender submission
- Technical Advisory: Act as the technical point of contact for clients and consultants, providing expert support to Sales Engineers during pre-award meetings.
- Project Execution Support: Liaise with customers to address and resolve technical site issues or design clarifications during the project execution phase.
- Document Control: Maintain a rigorous and organized filing system for all project-related documentation, technical materials, and correspondence to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in structural engineering consultancy, PEB manufacturing, or structural
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential.
- Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000 or STAAD.Pro) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of international and regional building codes and steel design standards.
- Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and technical reporting skills in English and the local language.
- Key Attributes: A self-motivated, analytical, and results-driven individual with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
