Sales & Technical Support Engineer/Manager (Thailand)
The Technical Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by combining engineering expertise with commercial acumen to promote and sell PEB solutions. This role involves engaging with clients, understanding structural requirements, preparing technical proposals, and supporting project acquisition from concept to contract.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical presentations to promote PEB solutions.
- Lead and execute sales projects within the local market with a results-drive approach, adapting strategies to evolving market trends.
- Lead and execute highly complex or specialised projects with a results-driven approach, adapting strategies to evolving market trends.
- Cultivate and sustain strong strategic business relationships with customers and business / channel partners to drive brand awareness, foster profitable collaborations, and enhance customer loyalty.
- Identify and pursue qualified sales leads by conducting comprehensive assessments of customer requirements, site conditions, and project objectives.
- Recommend tailored PEB solutions that maximize structural efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and long-term value.
- Collaborate with design and estimation teams to propose optimal configurations that align with client expectations and drive successful project conversions.
- Present technical proposals, BOQs, and preliminary design concepts.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery timelines within approved limits, balancing profitability with market competitiveness and adapting to client needs and industry trends.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to evaluate the feasibility of alternative business development opportunities, identifying strategic growth potential and competitive advantages.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, and project status in CRM systems.
- Submit monthly sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.
- Perform and ad-hoc duties assigned by Company from time to time
Relevant Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Technical Sales in structural steel industry.
- Candidate with more years of experience will be considered for Manager position.
- Experience working in a consultancy firm is a MUST.
- Strong technical understanding of steel construction products, processes, applications, codes and requirements.
- Demonstrate strong technical acumen with the ability to deliver tailored, solution-oriented recommendations that address complex client requirements.
- Strong in Sales Professional, Sales Process and thorough understand of local markets
- Strong networking in structural steel or construction industry and connection with Architects / Engineers & Consultants
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills to effectively engage with clients
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve sales objectives
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in using CRM and other sales tools to track and report on activities
- Self-motivated attitude and customer service orientation
- Proficient in MS Office and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar design tools is an advantage.
